Hello Pack Scouters,

Just announced – a great opportunity for your Cubs to be part of the new Youth Leadership Program that they are launching (for the first time) at Camp McLean.  The is the new and improved version of the old FLEX program – Youth teaching Youth (Rovers/Venturers are the Instructors as opposed to Adult Scouters).

From the Organizers:

We are piloting the new Scouts Canada Youth Leadership Training. Come out and join us to experience the future of youth leadership training!

Basically Youth leadership skills of communication, teamwork, stress management and different styles of leadership are being taught in a fun and hands-on manner.  The leadership training will be more along the lines of the Canadian Path and we will be using Trail Cards with activities and lessons for the Youth to pick and choose from in order to learn Leadership Skills.  Using the Trail Cards to complete the Youth Leadership Training is something new that we are trying and this is the pilot weekend for this new format.

WHEN:  Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 9:00am to 5:00pm @ Camp McLean (20315 16 Ave, Langley)

COST: $20 for the day and includes lunch and snacks (Cubs & Scouts)  Venturers are $45 and stay all weekend.

Scouters are NOT needed for ratio however, if you would like to come out and join in the fun, this is fine too.

Payment can be sent to the BCY Service Centre (664 West Broadway, Vancouver BC, V5Z 1G1). Your registration will be confirmed once your payment is received. With the payment, please include the name of the youth that has been registered in order to make the registration confirmation easier.
