Starts: Sept. 21, 2018
Ends: Sept. 23, 2018
This camp teaches outdoor skills to the youth in a graduated format varied by their age. They learn: fire starting, knife safety, compass work, survival and hiking skills, plus much more. And for those new Leaders (and some of the old ones ;-) ) -- you might learn some new skills too! CubStart Camp will be held at Camp McLean, 20315 16 Ave, Langley South.
Hello everyone! (2017)
Please find attached a copy of the minutes from the CubStart Planning meeting from earlier this month. I apologize for the delay in sending these out – we were waiting for some additional information to come in from groups that were not able to attend the meeting.
Camp Schedule 2017 – please take a look at the schedule for information on which Pack you will be working with so that you can plan your sessions. Please let Rob and I know if you need help with supplies, etc. and don’t forget to turn in your receipts for any costs incurred at the beginning of camp. Yellow blanks on the schedule still need to be filled and we still need to hear from 10th White Rock “B” and 1st Willoughby as to which stations you will be running.
Registration Form 2017 – Forms are due in no later than September 10th. We need this information so that we can let you know how many Cubs to expect at your stations as well as our cooks need to know about any dietary needs/restrictions. Please scan/mail/carrier pigeon it to me by the due date so that we don’t have to chase you down. Fees are due no later than Scouter’s Club (Sept. 21st) – bringing them to camp is too late as they have to be turned into our Area Treasurer before camp. If you are unable to attend Scouters Club – they can also be dropped off at either Rob’s (Panorama Ridge - Surrey) or Barb’s (Langley) office or mailed to us.
Please let us know if you have any comments, concerns, great ideas. Looking forward to another great CubStart Camp!!
