Organizing & Planning Group Event/Camp

This will take place in Erickson House prior to the February Scouters Club It is a short workshop on tips for planning a section camp, or Group event. It will discuss what paperwork is required for various events, and provide tips for running a fun and safe event, including how to involve youth in the planning process.  Great for new Scouters who have never organinzed a section event, as well as Scouters who just want to pick up some tips.

Jungle Day Camp - for Beavers CANCELLED

EVENT CANCELLED - only ten signed up as of May 23. Hi everyone,   We will be cancelling Jungle Camp for this year (originally scheduled for this coming Saturday).  It appears that due to everyone being busy putting the “Out” in Scouting there are only about 10 youth able to attend which makes it hard for the games and activities to proceed.  The fact that Packs are busy is not a bad thing…it’s great!!!   We will try again next year or may look at doing the same thing we did last year and scheduling it for sometime in early September. ...

CubStart Camp Planning Meeting

Publicity Booth at Cruise In

Scouting Publicity Booth  We've been doing this one since September 2000 (2010 never happened)        ***  Cruise-In has moved to Aldergrove this year. ***      2017 Sep 09, Saturday, 10am-6pm at Fraser Hwy & 273 St, in Aldergrove (we'll be there at 5am to set up). We welcome all of our Scouting members to put in a 1 or 2 hour shift each, or come whenever you can. We talk to people and hand out pamphlets. It's easy. It's fun! Apple Days

Remember, we are giving away our apples, not selling them.    You'll want to ensure that someone checks with the local Guiding and Cadet organizations to prevent "Cookie Sales" and "Tag Days" from interfering with our Apple Days event on our weekend.   Try to get a letter(s) from the business(es) that you'll be in front of that specifies you as the only fundraising group to be there on that weekend.----------------------------------------------------------------Our Fraser Valley Council designates 2 weekends for Apple Days, & each of the 6 Scouting Areas within our council choses the weekend they want.   Nicomekl Scouting Area has chosen the date shown above.--------------------------------We hope that all of our Scout groups ...

Ponder Park Work Weekend

Ponder Park Work Weekend         Bring your youths, camp for free, and do some trail clearing, carpentry, painting, etc. There are many other clean-up related chores to be done as well. Come for a couple of hours or stay all weekend. All sections are welcome. Free coffee & juice (bring your own mugs). Please supervise your youths, and remember that  a maximum of 2 vehicles at a time, is all that can be down at the shelter. Beaver / Parent Camp Planning Meeting November

Starts: November 1, 2017  @  8 p.m.

Beaver Scout Movie Event

Starts: November 4, 2017
Doors open at 9:00, commencing at  9:30 AM.   Location -  Hollywood 3 Cinema,  7125 138  St., Surrey B.C. ( near King George and 72nd Ave. )   Admission is open to all family members. The cost is $8.00/person, which includes admission, crest, small popcorn and small pop.   Funds and drink pre orders due at October Scouter’s club   (October 19th). Scouters' Club November

We get together for planning, information & fun every month. We encourage representation from all group committees & from every section of every group.       All Scouters are welcome, from any group, area or council.The Nicomekl Area Scouters' Club convenes on the third Thursday of every month at Erickson House, Camp McLean, 20315 16th Ave, South Langley. Refreshments will be available …please lug a mug! See you all there!!     Meetings begin at 8:15 sharp!

Santa Breakfast 2017

Cub Swim Event

Starts: December 4, 2017  @  6:30 p.m.
Ends: 8 p.m.
Area Cub Scout Swim Night - a family event. Location: Walnut Grove Community Centre. --------------- For youth the cost is $2.40/ youth (Cub age, for older youth 12 and older it will be $3.50/youth) For any adult that will go and help out (they need to actively supervise), they will be free.  Otherwise the cost for adults is 5.70/ adult. --------------- This year they are asking for it to be paid all at once as it is too much for them to do them all separately.  Colleen will need to give them notice, by the week before.  So everyone will need ...
