LOCATION: THE LANGLEY / WEST CLOVERDALE
ABC RESTAURANT, AT THE RAMADA INN,
19219 – 56TH AVENUE, SURREY, B.C.
Sunday-Saturday, at Camp McLean, 20315 16th Ave, across from Campbell
Valley Park. These 5 x 1 week
camps need lots of ideas, help & backyard
pools. Leaders & parents... come help
out for a day or even just for an hour.
Each summer
for the past 19 years,
Cubs (coed youth aged 8-10 years) from all over the Fraser Valley
have been coming to this camp. They enjoy a wide variety of outdoor
activities while at the camp.
This year's theme is "TBA"
and the planning meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of each month,
starting at 730pm at Erickson House, Camp McLean. All
Scouters are welcome to attend, whether they are Cub leaders or
not.
There is usually an Open House on
a Saturday in May, 10am-4pm
at Camp McLean. Please invite all of your Cubs' parents
to come check it out.
Staff training weekend is late
in June.

Swimming
Program
One of the regular activities includes
a swimming program. For the past many years the Cubs have
been using local neighbourhood pools with great success. We
are now finding ourselves in the position of expanding our program.
Swimming is held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of each
week with 4 x 1 hour sessions. Each of the four times slots
in a day has 16 cubs, 2 cabin leaders and life guards in attendance.
Choose a morning, afternoon, day or week -- we can make
it as convenient as possible.
There are some funds available to offset the cost of chemicals
for the pools. Are you
able to "Get Involved" and help us in providing this program?
