Pack Knife Permit
When Cub aged youth have proven themselves, leaders will usually allow them
to carry their own pocket knives, with permits. The permit design example
below was stolen...er...borrowed from 1st West Langley Wolf Cub Pack.

                   Knife Permit      

    This is to certify that

  CUB _______________________________
  knows that owning and using a knife creates responsibility.
  This is understood and acknowledged.   In consideration
  of the above, the CUB is hereby granted the right to carry
  and use a knife within Scouting.

On my Honour I promise that I will:  

  * Use my knife only when there is no one within 1 meter
      of me in all directions and I am seated.
  * Properly care for my knife.
  * Carry this permit with me while I am carrying my knife.

I realize that this permit may be withdrawn by my parents
or my leaders if I fail to follow the promise stated above.
